Privacy Policy

This policy describes what information marketingideas.ai ("Marketing Ideas", "we") collects when you use the service, and how it is used. The short version: we collect what we need to analyze the website you submit, run your account, and improve the product. We do not sell your data.

What we collect

• Website URLs you submit. When you request an analysis, we fetch and process publicly available content from that website (pages, public social posts, public news) to generate recommendations.
• Account email. If you sign in, we store your email address to operate your account, check your subscription status, and send you the reports you request.
• Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details — we store only your subscription status and a Stripe customer reference.
• Usage analytics and session replay. We use PostHog to understand how the product is used, including session replay of interactions with the app. Analytics events are limited to product actions and the domain (not full URL) of sites you analyze.
• Technical data. IP addresses are used transiently for rate limiting and abuse prevention. We use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish humans from bots.

How we use it

• To generate marketing recommendations for the website you submit, including processing site content with AI providers (Anthropic) and research providers (search and web-scraping services).
• To deliver emailed reports you request (sent via Resend) and sign-in links (via Supabase, which also hosts our database).
• To operate billing, prevent abuse, and improve recommendation quality.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or rent your personal information.
• We don't use your data to train AI models.
• We don't send you marketing email you didn't ask for. Report emails include an unsubscribe link.

Cookies and local storage

We use a small number of cookies and browser-storage entries strictly to run the product: keeping you signed in, remembering your analysis results for the duration of your browser session, and (pre-launch) an access cookie. Analytics cookies are set by PostHog as described above.

Data retention and deletion

Raw analysis logs (the URL you submit and the page content we analyze) are automatically deleted after 90 days, and cached analysis results after 7 days. Delivered report content is cleared from our systems after 90 days; billing records are kept as long as the law requires. To have your account and associated personal data deleted sooner, email us at the address below and we will remove it.
